Garage Sale at the Dump
Saturday morning I made a trip to the Oneida County Landfill to get rid of some demolition waste. I broke 2 laws on the way. No license plate on my trailer and I forgot to cover the demolition waste. I also over loaded the trailer. Well it's only illegal if you get caught. It was busy at the dump, I had to wait in line to get in. I dropped of the demo waste at the "demo site" and then I went over to the regular trash drop off. While at the trash drop off I was behind some people unloading a bunch of stuff. I offered to help them but they said they were almost done, apparently they were cleaning out their mothers house of 40 years of junk. It was funny because they threw away a grill from a Buick La Sabre. I threw out a fender for a Buick after my Dad died. Perhaps if I rummage around through the dump I could put together an entire Buick LaSabre.
The Landfill was also having a garage sale. I drove by but did not stop. I though I saw some stuff we threw away a few years ago. I did not see any buick parts. I did call Susan, who stayed back home, to let her know what she is missing.
I did get some work done. The mold is gone! I removed the remaining drywall in the bedroom. And inspected the foundation. And I painted the foundation with UGL Dry Lock. It's thick stuff. I felt like I was painting the walls with Peanut Butter. Oddly it made me hungry for Fried Chicken (more on that later). Enjoy the pictures below.

The pink stuff is rigid foam insulation. It will go against the Foundation wall. A stud wall will be built parallel to the insulation. Opps I lied, I need to pull some drywall down from the ceiling.
I also started to pull apart the bathroom. The ceiling is down. In the lower picture, notice anything odd? Only a trained home inspector will notice... And on the left hand side of the lower photo, that is were the closest is going to be.
Saturday night since I was hungry for Fried Chicken I went to a local Fast Food place. I wanted to go to KFC but it's is closed for remodeling, well they knocked the building down. And since it'sNorthern Wisconsin they are taking their time to build a new one...well at least they started. I had to go to another place not famous for Chicken. I also went to a local liquor store to stock up for my family’s visit in a few weeks. Any way I got food poisoning and was up most of the night...yuk. Or could have been the paint fumes!
