Phase 2 is the basement. The house is a raised ranch with a walk out basement. Off of the basement is a deck and a view of the lake. Unlike the upstairs which was mostly cosmetic, the basement is a total tear out. Everything must go!

Thanks to my brother Larry we have started. The first thing that needed to be done was to remove the dropped ceiling and the dark paneling.



Larry was very busy. Not only he removed the ceiling and the paneling. He also rewired the electric, pulled out duct work, and replaced a window with a door.

Well I helped too. Here is a view of the door from the outside. I put in the siding.



The plans for the basement are; Put in french doors into the bedroom. Totally gut the bathroom. Possibly expand the bathroom. Change the floor plan. Move the laundry room. Remove one of the outside doors and replace it with a window. Replace the windows. Redo electric and plumbing. Fix the fireplace. Put in new floors.....This is a 2 year project.

Joe
