It was a busy week. We had a little delay in the work because Susan had to spend a few days in the Hospital. Susan is fine now.

I would like to thank my brother Larry, my sister Pam and her husbnad Lou for all their help this week.

Day 1. I sealed the grout on the new kitchen floor. I was a little messing with the sealer, but it can be cleaned up.

Day 2. I painted the kitchen the "Sail Cloth" color. Looked more like a cream color than the yellow we expected. But looks fine. It goes with the floor. I also roomed the trim and paneling in the living room.

Pam and Lou arrived. I picked up Larry at the airport.

Day 3. The former master bedroom, now the gueat room, was painted. The color is Lime Wash. Which in some light it looks yellow.

We went to Menards, local Building supply, and bought 1/4 inch and 5/8 inch drywall. We had to help a customer load up his truck partially because he was in our way, but mostly because we are helpful.

Day 4. We  installed the drywall in the living room and dining room where the paneling was. And put the first coat of joint compound. Pam and Lou painted the Master bedroom, was the guest room, the pain color is CityScape (blue). Also the Hallway was painted in the Lime Wash.

Day 5. Susan escaped from the Hospital and joined us. She said it sounded like we were having too much fun. Pam and Lou left earlier that day.

Day 6. Sanded the newly drywalled walls. And primered them.

Day 7. Painted the living and dining rooms. We also changed the outlets to Ivory or Almond colored. I got an electrical shock because the power was not off for one outlet. We also blew up a 100 AMP breaker. We had to make an emergency run to Ace Hardware to get a new one before they closed.

Day 8. Finished up electrical. Move furniture out of the way for the flooring guys. Mostly relaxes this day. I had 6 beers at Coyoty Joes, Susan had to drvie home.

Day 9. Larry leaves. I start finshing up the drywall for the stairway to the basement. Susan power washes the deck. Gee we did not know the deck was not suppose to be black.

Day 10. Went back home.
