Weekend Work

Joe and Lou are up at Domek this weekend.  It's time to get serious about the cleanup and organizing now that settling the estate is under way.
Joe needed to go up and since I am working, Lou volunteered to go with him.  Max, the dog (as apposed to Max the Cat or Max the nephew) has been very excited to go long.  They saw two eagles on the way up; on the ground looking for food.  We don't see them very often, so that was a thrill.  Joe said they haven't seen any deer yet, but he's sure Max has.  They are changing the locks, vacuuming shampooing the rugs and moving the furniture around.  It's still pretty much a mess. I guess they will tackle the lower level too if there is time.  I don't envy them.

Joe has been talking again about needing a John Deere for working up there.  I think the yard is even smaller than the one at the house, but he says he needs one to go down to the lake and back.  (please, it is not that far).  I am pretty sure this is a new way top tease (or is it torture?) me, but can't be sure how serious he is.  There have also been regular mentions of new tools needed for various projects on Domek.  Hhhmmm.

The cats have been missing Joe here and they keep looking out the window watching for him.  I like to think they wish to be with him, as I do, but I know they would hate the trip.

Instead of John Deeres, I believe several Hoverounds should be made available for the older visitors. It is a long way to the lake and besides we could have races down the road.

Hhhmmm - when we clear out the road we'll consider golf carts.

What I really want is the John Deere gators. See http://www.deere.com/en_US/ProductCatalog/HO/category/ho_gatorho.html?promo=deereseasonlanding for details. I think young and old (people in the 50s) will be able to drive them with no problems.

Also, I think we need a Shuffle bowling game in the rec room. That will be really nice.

I love this and it will be such a nice record of how you fixed up the house that you can review as you all enjoy the house in the future! Love the pictures!
